The Ebell is proud to bring back We Can Do It!, a free family performance celebrating the women who shaped Los Angeles. The musical—written by librettist Velina Hasu Houston with music by composer Brooke DeRosa—brings to life the stories of three “Rosie the Riveters” and invites audiences of all ages to explore how World War II transformed gender roles and empowered women across the city.
Verse Style Dance: Friday, April 12, 4:30pm– 6:00pm
A mix of Whacking, Popping, and Afro-Latin styles, this exhilarating and high-energy performance showcases the diversity and beautiful complexity of the Los Angeles dance scene.
Voices of Asia: Sunday, May 31 , 4:30pm– 6:00pm
A captivating showcase of vocal and instrumental music, blending traditional melodies from China, India, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, and beyond, Voices of Asia also highlights contemporary works by renowned L.A.-based composers. The program is presented by Vibra Voce, an ensemble dedicated to empowering emerging artists and fostering cultural connections through performance.
