CALL FOR PAPERS: THE EBELL INSTITUTE FOR THE STUDY OF WOMEN’S HISTORY IN LA

Public Symposium: March 26, 2026

Deadline: February 14, 2026, EOD

The Ebell of Los Angeles invites submissions for its annual public symposium, which showcases the hidden stories of Los Angeles' remarkable women — visionaries, pioneers, and changemakers whose contributions have often been overlooked in historical narratives.

The symposium is presented by The Ebell Institute for the Study of Women’s History in LA (TEI), built on the principle that representation matters: “One cannot be what one cannot see.” By spotlighting historical Los Angeles women and amplifying the voices of contemporary scholars, artists, and innovators, TEI seeks to make women’s history a vital part of public knowledge.

Timed to women’s history month, the symposium will take place on The Ebell’s historic mid-Wilshire campus and will feature three panels and a keynote address. Selected participants will each receive a $300 honorarium

Deadline: February 14, 2026, EOD. CLICK HERE to submit abstracts through the TEI Open Call
