In Turn Right At Machu Picchu, journalist Mark Adams re-traces the trail that Yale professor—and likely Indiana Jones inspiration—Hiram Bingham blazed to Machu Picchu in 1911. Adams weaves his colorful travels with hearty muleteers and a boldly eccentric Australian survivalist-adventurer together with a biography of Bingham, who was credited with introducing Machu Picchu to the outside world, Incan history, and the Peruvian landscape. Join us Tuesday, November 25 to round out our travel-themed November Book Chamber.
