For our June "freebie" month, Book Chamber members are diving into biographies of First Ladies — each choosing a different one to explore. With so many remarkable women to pick from, the reading list promises to be as inspiring as it is varied.

From trailblazers like Martha Washington, Abigail Adams and Eleanor Roosevelt, to unforgettable figures like Jacqueline Kennedy and Dolly Madison, these women shaped history in profound ways. Some, like Edith Wilson, even stepped into governing roles during times of crisis. Others left their mark through advocacy and action—Lady Bird Johnson championed environmental causes, while Mary Todd Lincoln made headlines in her own right.
