Author and advocate Andrea Leeb joins a panel of experts from the UCLA Rape Treatment Center, including Dr. Jane Halladay Goldman, to discuss issues relating to childhood sexual abuse and the services provided at the UCLA Rape Treament Center and Stuart House, timed to Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Leeb will read from, and sign copies of her USA Today best-seller Such A Pretty Picture, which offers readers honest insight into a survivor's journey, and into finding help and healing. 100% of book sale proceeds will go to the UCLA Rape Trauma Center.

A Q&A session will offer audience members to engage with the panel.

Andrea Leeb is a writer from Venice Beach, California. She has an MFA from Bennington College, and her essays and short fiction have been published in numerous literary journals. In 2025 she was a finalist in the Tucson of Festival Books Literary Awards Program. Her debut memoir, Such A Pretty Picture, was a USA Today bestseller and selected by Indies Today as the Best Book of the Year. Previously, Andrea worked both as an attorney and as a registered nurse. Currently, she dedicates her time to advocating for survivors of sexual assault, mentoring young women from post conflict countries and writing. Andrea is a member of the UCLA Rape Treatment Center Advisory Board and an Ebell member.

Dr. Jane Halladay Goldman, PHD, MSW is the Senior Director of the Rape Treatment Center and Stuart House, where she leads efforts to provide comprehensive care for child and adult victims of sexual assault and abuse. She oversees clinical, medical, and forensic services, along with prevention and education initiatives aimed at reducing sexual violence.

Previously, Dr. Halladay Goldman was Director of the Service Systems Program at the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress, where she led national efforts to make child and family service systems more trauma-informed. Notably, she developed the Trauma-Informed Organizational Assessment (TIOA), a tool designed to help organizations measure and enhance their trauma-informed practices. She also has deep roots in the Rape Treatment Center and Stuart House, having spent much of her early career working across various programs serving both adult and child victims of sexual violence.

She has served in advisory roles with organizations such as the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and the Office for Victims of Crime. A recognized expert, she speaks nationally and internationally on trauma-informed systems, juvenile justice, child welfare, and sexual violence.
